KVSC 88.1 FM, in partnership with Pioneer Place on Fifth, is excited to announce our 5th season of the Granite City Radio Theatre! The first show kicks off Wednesday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m., with KVSC broadcasting live from the historic theater.

Season tickets are now available, to purchase yours contact the Pioneer Place Box Office at (320) 203-0331 or CLICK HERE. If you’re unable to commit to all four shows, single show tickets will go on sale September 15.

The October 19 show is the first of four Granite City Radio Theatre performances; the other shows take place December 7, March 15 and May 17, 2017. Wondering what to expect from season five? Never fear - we’re thrilled to be bringing back last year’s fan favorites, including Collective Unconscious as the house band under the direction of Muggsy Lauer, Jay Terry as host, Dan Barth meeting all your trivia needs and all new performances of Shades Brigade serial dramas.

We know you’re just as excited as we are, so what are you waiting for? Get your season tickets NOW for just $40 (that’s a savings of $5 per show!) As an added perk (as if saving money isn’t enough), you’ll receive the same seats for all four shows!

Granite City Radio Theatre is supported in part by a grant from the Minnesota Arts and Culture Heritage Fund.

Trivia Storm: 50 Hours of Torrential Trivia

KVSC’s 38th annual Trivia Weekend will not arrive until after a crisp fall and winter’s blustery blast. However, we love to taunt teams and volunteers in August with our theme announcement, so, pull out your parka, slip on your rain slicker, and charge up your weather radio for…Trivia Storm: 50-Hours of Torrential Trivia.

For three consecutive days next February 17-19, 2017, Your Sound Alternative will create a brain fog with a hailstorm of questions about all things weather related. The subject is a broad as a high pressure system across the Midwest. Who was the first victim in Sharknado 2? How did they come up with the name for mammatus clouds? Why does November 11, 1940 mean so much to so many Minnesotans?

So set your thermostat to trivia climate and if it involves our obsession with inconvenient truths… it’s part of the cyclone of questions for Trivia Storm: 50-Hours of Torrential Trivia.

Trivia Volunteers, prepare for the flood of answers and hop on our phone bank of telemetry stations at KVSC next February.

Prepare to enter the atmosphere that is Trivia Storm: 50-Hours of Torrential Trivia.
