02/15/2013 - 4:15 AM
A 14-year-old boy from Holdingford was injured Friday afternoon in a snowmobile accident. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened about 1:45 p.m. on County Road 3, about a third mile north of County Road 17 near Holdingford.
The 14-year-old was snowmobiling with two others on the side of the road when he attempted to drive across the road, where a car was headed northbound. The car, driven by 19-year-old Luke Daniel Doll, hit the snowmobile. The teenager was taken by the North Air Ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital, though his injuries were described as non-life threatening.
Doll was not injured in the accident, which is under investigation.
