Archived: A Sartell Teenager Suffers Injuries In a Snowmobile Collision Friday Afternoon

A teenager is injured after his snowmobile collides into another near County Road 9 in Holding Township Friday afternoon.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s office, 17-year-old Jesse Dummer of Sartell, was snowmobiling northbound on a trail adjacent to County Road 9 when he met the snowmobile of 67-year-old Ronald Toenies on top of small hill and collided. Toenies was traveling southbound on the same trail. Both snowmobilers were wearing their helmets.

Dummer was taken and is currently being held in the St. Cloud Hospital for injuries to his leg. Toenies was brought to the Albany Hospital by a family member.

Both snowmobiles had significant damage and the crash is still under investigation.
