Archived: Additional Hours Provided For Absentee Voting

Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer Randy Schreifels has announced that the Stearns County Auditor’s Office will be open this Saturday from 10 A.M to 3 P.M. It will also be open next Monday until 5 P.M. for absentee voting. Next Monday is the last day to cast an absentee ballot in person.

People can cast an absentee ballot in person in the Auditor-Treasurer’s office, located at the Administration Building, Room #148, at 705 Courthouse Square in St. Cloud. Absentee ballots can also be cast by email at elections.@co.stearns.mn.us, and absentee ballot applications can be obtained at www.co.sterans.mn.us.  Ballots must be received back to the Auditor’s Office by Election Day.

In order to vote by absentee ballot, you must meet at least one of the following requirement:

1) Absence from precinct on Election Day

2) Illness or disability

3)Religious discipline or observance of religious holiday

4)Service as an election judge in another precinct

5)Eligible emergency declared by the governor or quarantine declared by the state or federal government.
