The Stearns County Sheriff’s office has reminded everyone to always lock their car doors after a string of vehicle break-ins over the weekend.

The Sheriff’s Office says suspects took items ranging from cash and cigarettes to firearms and hunting supplies. All items that were reported stolen were taken from cars that were left unlocked or from open beds of pickup trucks.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the best way to protect yourself from car break-ins is to lock your cars whenever your leave them and to bring all valuable items with you. This is extra important when it comes to storing or leaving firearms in a vehicle.
