Alzheimer's Association To Host A Walk To End Alzheimer's
08/30/2012 - 12:15 PM
The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Central Minnesota residents to unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is more than just a walk. Organizers are expecting over 1,000 participants to learn about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with this cause. Alzheimer’s disease is a growing epidemic and is now the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. It is also the only one of the top 10 leading causes of death without a way to slow, prevent or cure the disease.
The walk will be at Lake George on Saturday, September 29th starting with registration at 10 a.m., the opening ceremony at 11 a.m. and the walk route starting at 11:30 a.m.
