Archived: Apollo High School Receives $2,500 Grants To Expand Entrepreneurship Program

Apollo High School will add an entrepreneurship program to its curriculum after receiving grants.

St. Cloud Area School District 742 says the school has been approved to assist the Expand Kiva program. The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation and the St. Cloud Federal Credit Union have sent $2,500 grants to fund the program.

Apollo High School’s Kiva program will teach students business loan practices. The funding for the class will go towards student-led micro-financing loans for people who live in developing nations.

Kiva is a non-profit organization that gives capital access for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The program will begin in the 2019 spring semester.
