A man’s body was found in a ditch Sunday afternoon along Highway 10, and investigators are searching for answers about his death.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office says drivers saw a body around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 10 and County Road 61. The Sheriff’s Office and a Midwest Medical Examiner’s Officer arrived and identified the man as 29-year-old Michael Maurer.

Maurer had no obvious signs of trauma and authorities suspect no foul play. Investigators are waiting for toxicology results that could give a better idea of how he died.
