Cold Weather Continues Until Tuesday
01/22/2013 - 9:45 AM
Central Minnesota is still feeling the cold weather as much of Minnesota was under a wind chill warning or advisory as of this morning.
While these have expired, winds are lighter but still persistent from Alexandria to St. Cloud with temperatures in the negative teens with wind chills in the negative thirties.
According to SCSU Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman, today should not be as windy as the past two days, but temperatures will only slowly rebound to the negative single digits by the afternoon.
The cold will ease up a bit starting tonight as lows stay in the negative single digits with only light winds. Tomorrow, the high temperatures will return to single digits.
St. Cloud Area School District 742 does not have classes today due to a pre-planned staff planning day, however some area schools started with a 2-hour delay this morning due to the cold temperatures.
