Sex trafficking is a real issue in Central Minnesota, and community advocates have taken the time to speak out about it.

Stearns County has released a video on YouTube highlighting the problem. Local law enforcement and community officials, including County Attorney Janelle Kendall, talk about sex trafficking and how to stop it.

In the nearly 6-minute video, a survivor advocate gives insight about what happens to victims of sex trafficking. Waite Park Police Department Investigator Jason Thompson also talks about past cases in Little Falls, Paynesville and the St. Cloud and surrounding areas.

The video has information that may not be appropriate for young kids.
