Crash Victim Identified

The victim of a Sunday car crash near Opole has been identified. The Stearns County Sheriff’s office reports 19 year-old Ryan Dezurik of Holdingford was killed at the scene of the accident. It happened on County Road 17 just after 10:30p.m. Police say Dezurik was traveling westbound on 17 when a Humvee H-2 coming from the other direction hit him.
The Humvee was driven by 29-year-old Timothy Allen Rausch of Cushing. Police believe Rausch was intoxicated and arrested him at the scene. He’s being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of Vehicular Criminal Operation. The passenger in that car was also arrested for obstructing the legal process after he was uncooperative with sheriff’s deputies.
