Documentary Screening At The Charles Lindbergh Historic Site In Little Falls
04/25/2014 - 10:40 AM
The Charles A. Lindbergh Historic Site is screening a documentary called “The Typist.”
The Charles Lindbergh Historic Site Manager Melissa Peterson says that the documentary shows the life and work of Larry Tillemans, believed to be the last living clerk typist from the Nuremburg Trials, which prosecuted World War Two criminals. The film is being offered in commemoration of Yom HaShoah, the Jewish Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust.
The Minnesota Historical Society says that Tillemans’ job in the U.S. army was to document the testimony of victims and perpetrators of the Holocaust. The film’s producer will provide the introduction with a discussion with Tillemans and the producer to follow.
Producing the documentary is KMSQ Television, Austin, MN. Funding is possible by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
The free screening is at the Charles Lindbergh Historic Site in Little Falls on Thursday May 1st at 6:30 p.m.
