The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic saturation that concentrated on texting while driving violations, according to Sheriff John Sanner.

The areas of focus included parts of Division St. and Roosevelt Rd. in St. Cloud and 10th Ave. in Waite Park. Fifteen drivers were cited for texting while driving during the exercise. 

Other citations handed out during this time include: three for driving after license revocation, two seat belt violations, four no-proof-of-insurance citations and one for inattentive driving.

The exercise took place Thursday, Jan. 12.
