Archived: Events Around St. Cloud

Lots of events are happening in Central Minnesota from hot dog benefits to walks to defeat ALS.

The Acacia fraternity is having a hot dog benefit for the Humane Society outside Cash Wise East just off of Highway 10. It will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 8th.

Then the ALS Association of Minnesota is hosting the St. Cloud walk to defeat ALS. The funds raised through the walk wild drive urgent innovation to find better treatment and a cure. The walk takes place on Saturday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Lake George.

If you’re heading up north with the family for the weekend, you can stop at the Mille Lacs Native American Museum on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the event you can get the chance to make Ojibwe-style shoulder bags. The museum is located in Onamia and is recommended for children 6 and up.

Finally the Morrison County Historical Society’s annual program is being held on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Scandia Valley Vineyards in Cushing, MN. The program will be regarding HMML’s digitization of endangered manuscripts around the world. The Great River Chorale will provide music to open the event.
