Archived: Former SCSU Student Arrested For Terrorist Threats

A former St. Cloud State University student, who made alleged bomb threats to St. Cloud City Hall on Facebook, was arrested on campus Wednesday morning.

St. Cloud Police say 25-year-old Abdalle Ahmed Ege of St. Cloud had made threats saying "I have a bag somewhere in city hall saint cloud". Officers found the bag belonging to Ege outside City Hall. The bag was checked and found to have no explosives inside.

Police and the FBI were able to find Ege at the Atwood Center on campus. He was arrested without incident and the building was searched with no explosives found.

Ege was taken to the Stearns County Jail on charges of making terroristic threats and authorities say there is no threat to the public.
