Archived: Heat Indices To Rise Drastically For The Next Couple Of Days

Central Minnesota will be experiencing higher than normal heat indexes starting today [Wednesday] into Thursday, July 18.

According to the National Weather Service, a slight chance of thunderstorms are possible, but heat indexes are projected to be as high as 99 degrees.

People are advised to drink plenty of water and wear lightweight, light-colored clothing when facing the hot weather conditions. Stay in an air-conditioned atmosphere as much as possible and avoid vigorous exercise.
