Archived: Highway 238 In Albany To Close On Monday

Drivers traveling on Highway 238 through Albany will encounter a detour and possible delays between First Street and Fifth Street starting on Monday, April 22.

This segment of the road will remain closed until late July. Once the road reopens, a second segment between Eighth Street and Fifth Street will close until mid-October. The closures are needed as crews reconstruct Highway 238 through downtown Albany.

Other improvements including upgrades to power utilities, roadway lighting, curbs and gutters will also be completed while the road is closed for construction.

The road was originally scheduled to close on April 17 but was rescheduled due to the recent snow and cold weather.
