A man and a woman were arrested on Saturday afternoon after the St. Cloud Police stopped the motorcycle they were riding. The officer stopped the motorcycle driven by 35-year-old James Bakken of Honolulu, Hawaii under the suspicion he had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant.

While the officer checked his ID, Bakken attempted to flee the scene on the motorcycle. Bakken then fled on foot, after being pulled off the motorcycle. He tried to escape over a fence at Hansen Floor Galley, but he was stopped by two employees who pushed him back over the fence.

After being pushed over the fence, Bakken was arrested. He was also taken to the St. Cloud Hosptial because he was tased by the officer when he tried to run.

Police say Bakken will be charged for fleeing police in a motor vehicle, driving after suspension, no proof of insurance, obstructing the legal process and for an outstanding felony warrant.

Bakken’s passenger, 36-year-old Rita Marie Ochs of St. Cloud was for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Stearns County.
