Man Assault Officer After Fight

Just after midnight Sunday morning, officers were dispatched to 1550 St. Germain Street East to break up a fight in a hallway. Police found 24-year-old Opiew Oman and began giving him medical attention. That's when police say Oman swung at an officer. As he was being taken into custody, police say Oman fought several officers and kicked an officer in the side. Oman faces charges of 4th degree assault, gross misdemeanor, obstructing the legal process, and disorderly conduct.
