Gunshots were heard in an East St. Cloud Trailer park Tuesday, leading to arrest.

St. Cloud Police say they responded to reports of gunfire at Sherwood Manor Trailer Park Tuesday evening.  Assistant Police Chief Jeff Oxton says they found a 58-year-old man who was assaulted and robbed in his mobile home. The victim told officers that a man entered his trailer fired his gun, struck him in the head with a handgun, and then left on food after taking personal property.

Later that evening more gun fire was reported across Highway 10 at the America’s Best Value Inn. There officers found 37-year-old Aaron Dante Moreno of Sauk Rapids, who matched the description given by the victim in the trailer park. The Suspect ran when cops approached. Moreno was tased and taken into custody.

After Tasing the suspect officers recovered a handgun off Moreno that had been reported stolen along with drug paraphernalia. Moreno was arrested for 2^nd degree assault, aggravated robbery, felon in possession of a handgun, and possession of a stolen firearm.
