Melrose Couple Freed From Rolled Over Vehicle
02/18/2013 - 10:15 AM
On Saturday afternoon, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office received a call from two teenage boys about a rolled over vehicle where it appeared the passengers inside the vehicle could not get out.
According to the report, 88-year-old Raymond Anthony Zenzen of Melrose was driving west on County Road 13 when he lost control of the vehicle due to the slush and ice on the road. The vehicle left the road and continued to travel into the ditch where the vehicle rolled over and landed on its roof. Zenzen and his passenger, 76-year-old Laura Christine Zenzen were trapped inside the vehicle.
The Zenzen’s were able to be removed from their vehicle with the assistance of Elrosa Fire and Rescue, Melrose Fire and Rescue, Sauk Centre Ambulance and State Patrol. The Zenzen’s were taken to the Centra Care Hospital in Sauk Centre where they were treated for their injuries.
