Archived: Multiple Lane, Ramp And Road Closures Begin On Tuesday

Drivers travelling on Highway 10, County Road 21 and County Road 31 in Rice will encounter lane, road and ramp closures beginning Tuesday, July 30.

Drivers should plan for three major traffic changes.

The first traffic change will be at the ramp on westbound Highway 10 to the east junction of County Road 31/South Division Street that will permanently close on Tuesday. The second traffic change will occur on westbound Highway 10 between 115th Street and the west junction of County Road 31/South Division Street which will be intermittently reduced to a single lane from sunrise to sunset during non-rush hours. The third traffic change will occur on County Road 21/25th Avenue Northwest near County Road 2 which will be reduced to a single lane with flaggers controlling traffic on Wednesday, July 31 before being temporarily closed later in the week.  County Road 21/25th Street Northwest will reopen by mid-September.

Drivers navigating these roads should slow down, watch for slow moving heavy equipment and prepare to stop as they approach the work zones.
