Archived: Multiple Reports Of Vandalized Vehicles In Stearns County

Residents of Stearns County should be extra cautious because multiple reports of vandalized vehicles have occurred in the area. Over the past week the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and other local police departments have been receiving reports of vehicles being vandalized during the night.

Residents have been waking up to find that their vehicles have been damaged by having a rock or similar item thrown through the window. In most cases, the vehicles have been parked on the public street. Residents should take extra care and park their vehicles in their driveway and report any suspicious activity.

These incidents have been reported in the towns of Avon, Albany, Freeport, New Munich and Melrose. At least twenty vandalisms have been reported and it is believed that these acts are related.
