Archived: Overnight Snow Causing Trouble In Central Minnesota
Slippery roads as a result of ice and snow will continue on Monday.
St. Cloud State meteorology professor Bob Weisman says freezing rain and sleet turned into snow at around midnight Monday morning.
Snow will continue into the daylight hours all over central Minnesota. Snowfall totals will end up in the 1-5 inch range, with even higher levels in Duluth and northern Wisconsin.
Wind and cold will take effect later in the day. The winds can lead to low visibility on the roads as snow drifts across roads, while the chills are low enough to cause frostbite.
Anyone planning to go outside should prepare for extreme cold. If you’re driving, be careful for slippery roads. For more details, visit Weisman’s forecast.
