Archived: Owner of Holdingford Facility Hit With Pollution Violations

A truck trailer manufacturer in Holdingford has been hit with penalties after committing several pollution violations.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) says that EnTrans International allowed several hazardous wastes that include methyl ethyl ketone, toluene, and acetone to be released from its septic system and into local wetlands.

The company also didn’t properly label or store hazardous wastes. After an inspection, it was discovered that some of the violations date back to 2012.

The company has paid almost $50,000 in penalty fees and is working to correct the violations as part of a stipulation agreement by the MPCA.

EnsTrans International is headquartered in Athens, Tennessee and owns and operates the facility at 12810 County Road 17 in Holdingford.
