Archived: Potter’s Global Engagement Forum To Focus on Trade and Tariffs

Several perspectives will discuss trades and tariffs at Potter’s Global Engagement Forum, an event recognizing St. Cloud State University’s former president.

A university spokeswoman says the event will be headlined by University of Minnesota professor of economics Timothy Kehoe. Kehoe is also an advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

After Kehoe presents, there will be a panel discussion moderated by the Dean of the  School of Public Affairs  King Banaian. The discussion will feature Canada Counsel General Robert Pengelly, China Acting Consul general Liu Jun, Mexico Counsel General Gerardo Guerrero and United Kingdom Deputy Counsel General Martin Whalley.

There will be another panel discussion moderated by Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation business development manager Larry Hosch. This discussion will feature Microbiologics CEO Brad Goskowicz, Central McGowan President and CEO Joe Francis, DeZURIK CEO Bryan Burns and several other St. Cloud area business leaders/

The forum is part of St. Cloud State University’s International Education Week and honors late St. Cloud State President Earl H. Potter III. 

The forum will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 9 a.m. at the Atwood Memorial Center Theater. The second panel discussion will be held in the Cascade Room at the Atwood Memorial Center at noon.
