Motorists traveling along Highway 10 near the Travel Information Center may see smoke as a roadside prescribed fire will be conducted.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says traffic will be not be affected by the fire and all roadways will still be open to traffic.

Prescribed fires are intentionally set and controlled by trained professionals and are conducted during certain optimal weather conditions to ensure safety.

Drivers are being asked to slow down in a prescribed fire work zone and to watch for crews.

The fire will be conducted on Monday, October 15.
