Prescribed Fires Planned In Central Minnesota This Spring And Fall
05/01/2013 - 11:00 AM
Residents in Central Minnesota traveling near St. Cloud, Cambridge, Isanti, Belgrade and other areas may see smoke from roadside prescribed burns this spring and next fall.
The burns are scheduled during optimal weather conditions to ensure safety and effectiveness. Traffic should not be affected and all roadways will remain open during the burns.
The burns are planned for 24 miles of Highway 65 between East Bethel and Grandy, along Highway 55 between Brooten and Belgrade, by the St. Cloud Travel Information Center on Highway 10 and on portions of the Lake Wobegon Trail.
MnDOT urges drivers to drive with caution and to slow down in work zones and never ever a road blocked with barriers or cones.
