Prevent Yourself From Getting The Flu This Winter
10/17/2012 - 10:00 AM
The flu season is upon us and one of the best ways to protect yourself from getting the flu is to get vaccinated. KVSC’s News Director Amelia Rowland recently spoke with Health Services Medical Director Dr. Nielson and their Nurse Manager Stacie Black about symptoms of flu and where you can get vaccinated.
Everyone who is six months of age or older should get their flu shot every year. If you are sick with flu-like symptoms it is advised that you stay home for at least 24 hours until your fever has gone done without the use of fever reducing medicines.
