Archived: Rain And Snow Mix Through The Rest Of The Week

While we may have seen our first 40 degree high on Tuesday in more than a week, winter is once again making an appearance as the St. Cloud area is expected to receive another four to six inches of snow by the end of the week.

According to SCSU Meteorology Professor Bob Wesiman, the next two days look wet with wet snow falling frequently. A mixture of wet snow, sleet and rain will begin to fall Wednesday afternoon through midnight and could result between a dusting and two inches of slushy accumulation of snow. On Thursday, another round of mostly wet snow is likely from Thursday afternoon until midnight.

According to Weisman, the St. Cloud area could see two to four inches of snow possible; however the National Weather Service predicts that six to twelve inches of snow is possible over Central Minnesota.
