A Red Wing man was arrested after a high-speed police chase along Highway 10 Tuesday morning.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says deputies responded to a driving complaint on two-hundred ninety-third Avenue near one-hundred fifty-six Street in Blue Hill Township shortly after 9:30 a.m. The complaint informed officers the car was driving at varying speeds and slamming on the brakes.

A deputy located a vehicle matching the description of the complaint travelling southbound at a high speed on County Road 5. The squad turned its light on and a pursuit began into the city of Big Lake. The chase continued west on U.S. Highway 10 and a short distance into Becker Township.

29-year-old Jordan Anthony Denk was arrested and taken to Sherburne County Jail on charges of Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
