Ride Northstar Free this Weekend With Toys For Tots Donation

Northstar Link, Metro Transit and BNSF Railway have teamed up to offer free rides on select bus and train trips this Friday and Saturday.

In order to qualify for the selected free trips you must bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. For the commute on Friday morning, riders on Northstar Link buses who bring a new toy, will ride for free and receive a ticket for a free return trip.

U.S. Marines and BNSF employees who operate Northstar will be on hand at the Target Field Station on Friday to accept donations from Northstar commuters. In exchange for that donation, riders will be given a free pair of Northstar train tickets to use at a later date.

On Saturday, those riding on the special Northstar Holidazzle bus or train may ride free to and from any station with their toy donation.

One donation is required from each Northstar commuter in order to qualify for these free rides.  For example, a party of two adults and two children would ride free with a donation of four new unwrapped toys.
