Archived: School Bus Accident in St. Cloud Thursday Morning, No Students Injured

A Thursday morning accident involving a short Spanier school bus and a full size pick-up truck did not cause any major injuries, but snarled the early morning traffic on a busy intersection.

The police report describing the accident says the school bus was making a right turn at the intersection of 25th Avenue South and Roosevelt Road, also known as 2nd Street, when the bus collided with the large pick-up. After the collision, the bus went off the road and ended up in the TCF Bank parking lot. The pick-up truck sustained major damage and at one point was on the center median of Roosevelt Road.

There were three high school students, an attendant and a driver on the bus, no one was injured. The students were transferred to a different bus and continued on to school.  There was a driver and a dog in the pick-up truck, that had to be towed from the scene.

The State Patrol is conducting a post crash inspection on the bus as part of an ongoing investigation.
