False reports of gunshots at St Cloud State University lead to a sweep of a campus building.

Assistant Police Chief Jeff Oxton says just after 1 am Sunday morning an officer was flagged down and was told there were possible gunshots at an event in the Atwood Memorial Center. On scene security told arriving officers that they did not hear or see any gun shots.

After a sweep of the building police found no weapons or evidence of gun fire. The SCPD believe they were given a false report, and stayed on scene until everyone left the area.
