SCSU Participates In Red Flag Campaign

SCSU is participating in the Red Flag campaign, which will raise awareness on dating violence on campus by placing a series of red posters that illustrate “red flags”, warning signs for dating violence in a relationship. The campaign, designed with a “bystander intervention” strategy, encourages people to say something when they see these “red flags” in a friend’s relationship.
Each poster reflects a theme associated with violent relationships, such as emotional abuse, sexual assault, excessive jealousy, isolation, and victim-blaming. This campaign hopes to reduce the number of violent relationships as 20% of them are.
