Archived: Semi Crash Tuesday Morning Sends One Woman To The Hospital

An 82-year-old woman was hospitalized after crashing with a semi Tuesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Rosaline Irene Ratike of Litchfield failed to yield when she was hit.

She was stopped at a stop sign, facing north, on Precision Drive in Meeker County. Ratike’s truck was struck while crossing Highway 12 just after 8:30 a.m.

Steven Joseph Holthaus, age 58, of Albany was driving the semi. He was traveling west on the highway.

Ratike was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital, but the semi driver did not receive treatment at a medical facility.

Both people were wearing seatbelts.
