Archived: Several Sherburne County Officers Awarded For Saving Lives

Two Sherburne County deputies and a correctional officer were awarded Tuesday for their life-saving efforts.

Spokesman David Unze says on December 30, 2017 Sergeant Chris Aleshire and Deputy Dean Cichy revived 45-year-old Michael John Suelter of Zimmerman after suffering cardiac arrest. The deputies used CPR and an AED to bring him back to life.

In the Sherburne County Jail, Jail Sergeant Bradley Bohn, noticed another correctional officer choking and was blue in the lips. Bohn performed the Heimlich maneuver and the choking officer was saved.

Aleshire, Cichy and Bohn have all been presented with Life-saving Awards and met with the survivors.
