A 36-year-old Minneapolis man was injured in a shooting incident early Sunday morning in St. Cloud. The shooting took place at the 200 Block of 24^th Avenue North.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers received a call at approximately 4:30 a.m after a person heard several rounds of shots being fired. There were several people outside the residence near where the shots fired. Burke adds officers located the victim with a gunshot wound in his buttocks. The victim was transferred to the St. Cloud hospital to receive treatment.

Burke says there is no risk involved to the public as the shooting was not a random shooting incident. The St. Cloud police are actively investigating the incident and seeking information from the public.
