Archived: Slippery Road Conditions Cause Upsala Woman To Crash Her SUV

A woman suffered minor injuries after she lost control of her SUV and struck a mailbox and support cable in Krain Township Monday.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Crystal Rose Dietrich Benson of Upsula was traveling southbound on Hwy 238, when she came to a curve in the road and lost control of the SUV due to the snow and slush. The SUV then left the road and struck a mailbox and support cable for a power pole.

Benson was taken by Melrose Ambulance to the Albany Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Along with this accident, Stearns County Law Enforcement has responded to 46 other vehicle crashes and vehicles in the ditch.
