Speech & Debate Tournament Friday And Saturday

Students from more than 15 different schools are gathering at St. Cloud State University Friday and Saturday for the Icebox Classic Speech & Debate tournament.

The invitational event is expected to have over 200 participants. The event takes place on the second floor of Stewart Hall, and is free and open to SCSU students.

Events begin at 11 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday.

The MN Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Delta Forensics is directing the event. They are co-sponsoring the event along with the SCSU Speech & Debate team and the Department of Communications Studies.

11 a.m. -  Debate I
12:15 p.m. - Debate II
1:30 p.m. - Extemporaneous Draw
2 p.m. - Rd 1 Group B
3:30 p.m. - Rd 1 Group A
4:45 p.m. - Rd 1 Group C
6:15 p.m. - Rd 2 Group A
6:45 p.m. - Debate III

Saturday
7:45 a.m. - Continental Breakfast
8 a.m. - Debate IV
9 a.m. - Rd 2 Group C
10:30 a.m. - Extemporaneous Draw
11 a.m. - Rd 2 Group B
12:15 p.m. - Debate Semi-Finals/Lunch
1:30 p.m. -  Finals C and ½ A 2:45 Extemp Draw
3 p.m. - Finals B, ½ A, and Debate
5:45 p.m. - Awards
