The St. Cloud State University Department of Communication Science and Disorders is receiving a grant from the St. Cloud Area Sertoma Club.
The department will be awarded 4,250 dollars as part of Sertoma’s community grant program. The Sertoma Club says the money will go toward the purchase of a Maico MI44, middle ear analyzer. The machine is used in the field of audiology.
The club says that community grants are pretty rare. Last year, the club awarded only 21 grants nationally.
Sertoma is an acronym for SERvice TO MAnkind.
