A St. Cloud man was arrested on charges of property damage and underage drinking Friday morning.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were sent to the 600 block of 7th Avenue South in connection with a mental health issue. The investigation determined 19-year-old Michael Christopher Garner damaged the front door of the Holy Myrrh-bearers Orthodox Church in St. Cloud.

Garner was taken into custody. Officers say he was intoxicated and claimed he wanted to harm himself. He was taken to the hospital and later booked in Stearns County Jail.
