St. Cloud State University will recognize five former students for their contributions and achievements in their careers.

The university says Jan Bergquist Hanson, Annie Deckert, Enanga Fale, Jeff Hegle, and Matt Roisom will receive the 2018 Alumni Association Awards.

Hanson is the CEO, president, and co-founder of Educate Tanzania Inc, a nonprofit which brings opportunities to Tanzania. She will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Deckert is the president of the Elk River economic development firm Decklan Group and she co-founded the first young professionals group for the Economic Development Association of MN. She is a co-recipient of the Alumni Service Award.

Fale is a senior manager in systems engineering for aerospace company Northrup Grumman and a leader in the Society of Womens Engineers. She is a co-recipient of the Alumni Service Award.

Hegle has coached the men and women’s swim and dive teams for 18 years. He will receive the University Leadership award.

Roisom is the market vice president and commercial loan officer for Rochester-based Home Federal Savings Bank. He will receive the Graduate of the Last Decade Award.

The winners will be recognized during the long-awaited St. Cloud State Homecoming 2018 from October 17-21.
