Archived: St. Cloud Ties Record Low For February 27th

St. Cloud tied its daily record cold temperature record for Thursday and notched its 14 day of -20 or colder temperatures of this whopper of a winter.

According to St. Cloud State Meteorology Professor, Bob Weisman, as of 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning the temperature tied the St. Cloud record low for February 27 with a temperature of -20 degrees. That record was set back in 1919 and tied again in 1962.

Weisman says this marks the 14th day of a low temperature with -20 degrees or colder and ranks among the sixth coldest winter in St. Cloud history, the most days with a temperature of -20 degrees or colder since the 1995-1996 winter.
