The Stearns County’s Environmental Services Department is offering limited grants for repairing sewage systems.

The funding comes from the State of Minnesota to help homeowners to replace their septic systems. Those who are interested in receiving financial aid should qualify as having a low income based on the 2015 tax returns. Candidates also need to own a single family home or duplex. The sewage system should be an imminent threat to public health and safety. Or, it fails to protect groundwater status.
