Strong Economic Growth Reported For Central Minnesota

A recent survey of 76 area businesses and employment statistics show that the economy has experienced a strong growth according to economics professors King Banaian and Rich MacDonald. According to the St. Cloud Area Quarterly Business Report, which was published this week, local employment grew 3.5 percent in the year ending July 2012 and local private-sector employment grew 4.2 percent in the same period.
Banaian and MacDonald said that the index on current employment is the highest ever recorded in the 14 years we have been administering the survey.
