08/28/2013 - 2:15 AM
If you’ve been in downtown St. Cloud in the past 40 years you’ve probably seen the Granite Trio. On Friday, August 30th the 32-ton sculpture located on St. Germain Street outside Herberger’s will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary.
The Granite Trio 40th Anniversary Celebration is a great way to honor Eagan Minnesota sculptor, Antony Caponi and community members who helped with sculpture. Caponi will be present at the anniversary celebration that kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Granite Trio location.
The event is hosted by the Downtown Council, Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Stearns History Museum, Visual Arts Minnesota and local St. Cloud community members.
The Granite Trio 40th Anniversary Celebration wraps up at the Paramount Theatre with a reception, followed by a film and lunch ending 1:00 p.m.
