Traffic Crash Fatality In Waite Park Parking Lot

Waite Park Police responded to a traffic crash in a parking lot off 24th Avenue in Waite Park yesterday at 1:19 p.m. September 27.

According to a Waite Park Police report, officers arrived to the parking lot and found an older woman driver who was unconscious after she crashed into a parked vehicle. Investigators believe the victim appeared to have suffered some type of medical incident and lost control of her vehicle. First responders' attempts at CPR and defiribillation were unable to revive the victim. The victim died at the scene.

Gold Cross Ambulance, Waite Park Police and St. Joseph Police assisted in the incident.

The name of the driver is not being released at this time pending a notification of next of kin.
