Traffic Stop Turns to Drug Arrest

St. Cloud police arrested a St. Joseph man for drug possession during a routine traffic stop. It happened shortly after 8:00 Sunday night near 5th Avenue and 1st Street South. Officers pulled over 24-year-old Kelly Meyer because his car had something hanging from its rear view mirror. Police say Meyer tried to run from the officers, but was eventually caught. He was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
