Two Arrested After Allegedly Stealing Copper From Local Business

Two Coon Rapids men were arrested in St. Cloud on Saturday night after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in copper wire from Design Electric. The two men, 30-year-old Nathan Leigh Johnson and 38-year-old Todd Michael Fryman were found inside Design Electric by an employee.
Police say, both suspects fled the scene before officers arrived, but were found later in two different locations. Johnson was found in the 4000 block of Clearwater Road near the Holiday Inn Express with the help of the Waite Park Police K-9 Unit. Fryman was found in the woods near Design Electric with the help of the Minnesota State Patrol Helicopter and the Sherburne County K-9 Unit.
Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Stearns County Jail on charges of third degree burglary. Fryman was also charged with possession of a fifth degree controlled substance.
The police say the copper stolen was estimated in value of $3,000-$4,000.
